Eclectic Wonders believes strongly that found object art should be au natural. Things are almost never painted, but are left in their as found state. Completed pieces often will receive a clear coat or linseed oil finish, or are left to weather. It is your choice what happens with time. Indoor art will usually require no maintenance. Outside art can be left to weather on it's own, or can be spray coated as needed to preserve the look. The wood frame of the large outdoor bells are sealed with Thompson's Water Seal. If left to the elements, it will become silver grey. Steel will rust, copper will develop a rich patina, it's up to you. If in doubt, please call or email with questions.
